The Walking Dead Renewed for Season 8

Confirmation today that The Walking Dead has been renewed for an eighth season - this news comes exactly a week before the Season 7 premiere.

The Walking Dead has been renewed for season 8
Looks like we're going to be seeing a lot more of Negan
"Eeny, meeny, miny, more," AMC president Charlie Collier said in a statement, subtly referencing Negan from Season 6 finale. "What a joy to partner with Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, and some of the hardest-working people in television to bring The Walking Dead to the fans. And, most important, thanks to those fans for breathing life into this remarkable series right along with us."

Was this really much of a shock to anyone? I mean this is a TV show which manages to rival the viewing numbers that the super bowl pulls in - and even at times beating them, and beating them well!

There really is no end in sight for The Walking Dead. Realistically, this show could continue on for as long as the comics.

Only One Week to Go...

Good news fans - There's only one week to go until The Walking Dead is back on our screens.

Whisperers Confirmed?

The official AMC Instagram page teased us with yet another image this week, this time hinting towards the possible arrival of a new group of villians.

As if Rick and co. don't already have enough on their plates it now looks like a group calling themselves The Whisperers could be making an appearance.

Comic book readers will already be familiar with them. They disguise themselves as the dead, wearing the skin of walkers and believe they should go unharmed when walking amongst them.

Here is the image that was teased...

The Walking Dead Season 7 Whisperers
Could this mean the arrival of The Whisperers in Season 7?
This image shows someone's head impaled on a pike - something that The Whisperers are known for doing in the comics. In fact, they end up doing this to quite a few beloved comic book characters - who knows if the same thing will happen in the TV series.

Personally I believe that if these guys do show up their not going to pose an immediate threat to our group, I just can't see that happening especially with all the screen time Negan and The Saviors are going to occupy. If anything I think they may threaten king Ezekiel and The Kingdom at first - but that's purely speculation on my part.

This is what The Whisperers look like in The Walking Dead comics

Let us know if you are excited for the arrival of this group of villians. I can't wait to see what Greg Nicotero and his team think up for the make-up when these guys are on screen. It's going to be gruesome.

Season 6 Finale - Negan Uncensored

Here is the Season 6 finale "Last Day on Earth" completely uncensored. Negan drops the F bomb more times than I can count and it is awesome!

Which version do you prefer? TV friendly, or uncensored?

On a side note, do you not think it's a bit ridiculous that they can show walkers being completely disembowelled along with Rick ripping out throats - but dare they say a naughty word on TV, that would just be taking it a little bit too far right?

I laugh at these TV network censoring rules...

Norman Reedus Drops Season 7 Hints

Steven Oggs' Character Confirmed as Simon

Not only did we learn that the fate of not just one, but two beloved characters are potentially at steak from the Season 7 Sneak Peek - we also got to find out that Steven Oggs' character does in fact have a name, and that is Simon.

Steven Ogg rose to fame thanks to his voice acting in GTA IV for the role of Trevor.

Hearing him talk about Rick having "A hatchet" in the sneak peek, only to correct himself when Negan seemed confused... "Uhhh... he had an axe" could just as easily have been pulled from Grand Theft Auto V itself. He really is the perfect guy for the role - his voice has that chilling, psychopathic tone. (That could just be me that feels that way due to being an avid Trevor fan.)

Steven Ogg plays the character Simon - Negan's right hand man.

Negan mentions to Rick that having a right hand man is important. Some fans have taken this to mean that it is in fact Daryl who faces Lucille, others think it's a subtle nod to the comic meaning Rick is going to lose his right hand - could Negan be about to chop it off in the RV with Ricks' very own axe?

The Day Will Come When You Won't Be

The title and synopsis for the season 7 premiere has been revealed.

Title: The Day Will Come When You Won't Be
Synopsis: Last season ended with Rick and our group kneeling helplessly before Negan and his group. What Negan does will haunt those who survive forever.

Rick: "I'm going to kill you."

Well done to all the fans who clocked on to the fact that this episode title is a throwback to what Jenner said to Rick back at the CDC in Season One. I'm predicting the premiere will open up like this:

Season 7 Sneak Peek

Can I just take a moment to point out how bloody amazing Andrew Lincolns' acting is here? I mean he is always superb, but this scene alone is a game changer.

Also... it's interesting to note Negan mentions at the end of the scene "The ones that are left" - This indicates to me that he has killed more than just one member of our group. All the talk of 'right hand man' would imply Daryl - even  more so when you see his scarf on the ground at the end of the scene - but I personally think it's Glenn and Abraham who face Lucille.

F you Negan! F you...

Only 8 days to go...

That's right...

There's now only 8 days to go until The Walking Dead returns to our screens.

We will all finally get to witness just who it was getting lucilled by Negan at the end of Season 6.

Who do you think will face Lucille? Leave a prediction below.
